Thanks to YOU! We did have a fabulous time--Martha is still in the clouds--and her family and friends are thrilled!
Black Olive Jazz MADE the 80th birthday party for my hip Mexican friend. The music was HOT with a latin Cha Cha beat that was impossible to sit down for. Kay Andreas has an amazing voice; she easily moves from scat to musical theater to latin love songs--sparkling all the way. Happy Birthday with the mambo rhythm was fabulous and a huge crowd pleaser! We can't wait for the next opportunity!
Keep on singing girl---we love you!

That was a great band on Sunday: Vince Delgado, Helcio Mellito, Bob Basa Omar Clay, Enrique Pedrazza, Sanna Craig and myself, and you sounded and moved wonderfullyLarry Vuckovich, Jazz at Pearls.
I was amazed by Kay's vocal on "A Train". I recognized her syllable for syllable dupication of Betty Roche's scat singing. Annie Ross came to life as Kay sang "Twisted". "I've Got You Under My Skin" pushed me into further musical ecstacy and a steamy rendition of "My Funny Valentine" brought me in touch with my teenage self listening to Chet Baker's voice with Gerry Mulligan."....Ralph Colby, Jazz Enthusiast
A broad range of classic songs were performed by Kay and crew in smart, touching versions. A delightful tapestry of wisdom, wit, and humor. No unrequited love here for the audience. This is one time that heart, soul, and all other zones come together in one explosion of ecstasy. Whew. Too bad I don't smoke. I need a cigaretteHilton Obenzinger, PhD., Associate Director of the Stanford Writing Center, Stanford University

We're still talking about what a great show you put on!. Black Olive Jazz gave an electrifying performance at Bartholomew Park Winery! The band was swinging and Kay Andreas was her usual melodic, evocative, sexy selfConnie Smith, Bartholomew Park Winery, Sonoma, CA , 707.939.2274
Thank you so much for the fabulous salon yesterday afternoon. Youre a wonderful singer and your colleagues were great. I was very impressed with Mimis compositions and with her performance. We had a wonderful turnout in the audience. Great that the people from Stanford Magazine came. My students were delighted and moved. When Mimi talked about being influenced by Hildegard of Bingen, several of them turned to me and grinned because we have studied her work in Women and the Creative Imagination. Please pass on appreciation and gratitude to Mimi and your other colleaguesWarm wishes, Valerie, Professor Valerie Miner,, Stanford University, Feminist Studies, Michelle R.
